At Home;

  • We can use natural cleaning products instead of toxic chemicals such as yellow soap, borax, vinegar, ammonia, soda.
  • We can use organic dyes and natural varnish.
  • We can shop from greengrocers instead of buying packaged fruits and vegetables.
  • We can collect glass bottles and jars, paper and aluminum cans separately, and recycle them.
  • We can use plastic containers more than once.
  • We can use rechargeable batteries and products that use rechargeable batteries.
  • We can use recycled stationary items.
  • We can make cleaning cloths out of our old clothes, towels and sheets.
  • We can turn our organic wastes (oilless damp waste) into fertilizers by integrating them in a small amount of soil, and use them.
  • We can reuse our shopping bags.
  • We can shop with care and consume less.
  • We can use insulation materials that do not contain CFC for our home heat insulation system.
  • We can use thermostats to check and control the degrees of our boilers and radiators.
  • Big radiator panels hold more heat than panels that blow out hot air. We can use big radiators since they heat up the place using less heat for longer period of time.
  • We can use light bulbs which use less electricity.
  • Since dryers use a lot of electricity, we can dry our washed clothes by hanging them.
  • We can take good care of our home furniture to extend their durability.
  • We can run our washing machines and dishwashers only when they are totally fully.
  • We can use solar energy to produce hot water.
  • We can turn our TVs off from their main button so we can save electricity by not keeping the red light on at all  times.
  • We can install monitoring meters at home and cut back on our use of electricity and its cost.
  • We can be responsible consumers  in our water consumption at home and outside to conserve water.

LET’S CONSUME LESS… REUSE …  RECYCLE
